CHARACTER INFORMATION
Name: Syladorel
Level:80
Class:Paladin
Race:Blood elf, of course! I'm not alliance, I swear! x3
Talent Spec (0/53/18): My spec is.. well, its the first prot spec I ever made. It has glaring flaws in it that I can see now, but since I've only done heroics until now, I have had no need to fix it, it got the job done. I will definitely fix it though if I begin raiding, and will gladly take input if the guild has any requests or advice on certain talents.
Tanks Only: 32.9k/543 unbuffed, of course. Right now I'm gemmed a lot for strength, because it made solo play easier. Again with only doing heroics until now, I didn't need more HP. I'm a JC, so I can swap in for more stamina easily.
What is your age group? 18-25
Why do you want to join Project Mayhem? Well, originally I wanted to get out and see all the new raid content. I really enjoyed raiding in BC, a karazhan raid I led was my particular favorite, and after a year of on/off breaks from wow, I've come back. I fell in love with tanking, and want to get back into raiding, it's something I enjoy doing, and I want to see each of the raids inside at least once myself. So my search brought me to Fairin, and after a late-night chat... I decided that if everyone in this guild is like that, holy hell would this be fun and exactly the sort of guild environment I had in Karazhan. I would love to be a part of a guild like that again!
Who do you know in Project Mayhem? Fairin, as perviously mentioned!
Are you wanting to be a social player or a raider? Raider, as also previously mentioned! I'm just on the ball, pre-emptively answering this stuff!
If Raider answer the following.
How long have you been playing World of Warcraft? Since the open beta in November of 2004. Not counting my on/off break periods over the years.
What previous endgame experience, if any, do you have? I went to MC and ZG and AQ20 as a resto druid in vanilla, I went to Karazhan, Gruul, and Zul'aman as a disc/holy priest in BC, and I've been to Obsidian sanctum on my prot paladin. That's it so far, but here's hoping to adding to that list very soon!
Post your Wow armory link: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... =Syladorel I guess this means I should keep my tanking gear on for the next few days, so you can actually... you know.. see it. x3 Also, here's my wow-heroes link, I think its a pretty cool site for checking me out! http://wow-heroes.com/index.php?zone=us ... =syladorel
Are you willing to listen to advise on how to play? What enchants and glyphs to use? God yes, I spent like 4 years as a healer.. I only recently fell in love with being a tank, and while I'd like to think I'm pretty good, I'm definitely not some kind of ultimate tanking god guru. As long as the advice etc. is constructive, I'm more than happy to hear it. Besides, then I can look smart when I tell someone else the awesome new thing I learned! Knowledge is power! x3
What sites have you used to research your class? Wowhead and wow wiki come to mind. There was this one that had a list of gear to try and obtain prior to heroics.. but that was so long ago.. back when heroics gave the lower badges and stuff. I took about a year on/off break from WoW after that, I have no idea what site it was. Also, I'm kind of a random-whisperer. If I see a paladin in awesome tank gear next to me, I will whisper them for input on the class. As far as I know, I've got my 96969 down pretty well, and my most recent accomplishment as a tank is learning to control spell-casting ranged mobs appropriately. It took a little while to get the hang of the LOSing, Shield-silencing, and arcane torrenting to clump everything together just right. While I do make mistakes, I'd like to think I've come a long way over the past 2 months.

* Note: I have final exams in April. On the 17th, and the 26th. I will have to discuss possible unavailability to raids on those days, depending on the times.
*Note 2: My schedule will change beginning in May, but it should not be an issue for me to continue attending raids.
